Iola Burton was born on June 14, 1947, in Hughes, Arkansas to Moses and Alzenia Burton. On April 14, 1962, she married Ronald Sutton, Sr. in Sioux Citty, Iowa. The couple later moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where they raised five amazing sons and two beautiful daughters.
Iola became a dedicated servant of Jehovah and was baptized on July 1, 1969. She loved serving Jehovah and teaching others about His Kingdom and promises. In addition to her spiritual dedication, Iola enjoyed playing cards with friends and family, shopping on-line, listening to music, and dancing whenever she could. She was a talented cook who loved preparing meals for her family, and she also found joy in reading and sewing. Known for her great sense of humor, Iola delighted in cracking jokes and making faces.
Iola was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, cousin, and aunt. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Marquerite Penn, and her granddaughter Samia Latrece Sutton. Iola is survived by her children: Ronald and Cindy Sutton of Phoenix, AZ; Damon and Kelly Sutton, Dayle and Amy Sutton, Kurtiss and Sandy Sutton, Varonica M. Sutton, and NinaRonnae M. Sutton, all of Omaha, NE; and Timothy W. Sutton of Carter Lake, IA. Her legacy also includes her grandchildren: Michael A. Sutton, Shannon M. Willis, Dae'Ron T. Sutton, Corey A. Sutton, Monique K. (Sutton) Kellogg, Gabriel D. Sutton, Sasha A. Sutton, Yalina R. Sutton, Keandra S. Sutton, TyResha D. Sutton, CoTila S. Sutton, Dashanae D. Chambers, Micha A. Sutton, Brecca J. Sutton, Noah S. Sutton, and Bria L. Sutton, as well as seven great-grandchildren.
