ROBERTS, Howell P. 1/3/1928 – 3/9/2020 Howell Price Roberts passed away March 9th at the age of 92. He was born on his family farm in Carroll, NE. He attended a little one room country school, graduated from Carroll High School in 1945, and two years at Wayne State College. He married Marianne March in 1946 & they had four children. They moved to Wahoo, NE in 1957 where he owned & operated the Wahoo Theater until 1967. He divorced & moved to Lincoln, NE. Howell found love again & married Gayle York in 1972. They moved to Omaha, NE to begin their married life together. He was a stock broker for Dain Bosworth until he retired in 2003. Howell loved to trap shoot, play softball, fish in Canada & hunt with many friends. He & Gayle golfed daily & were members of Sunset Valley Golf Club, until 2018. Howell loved dogs & had a squirrel haven in his backyard. Preceded in death by wife, Gayle; daughter, Julie; parents, Thomas & Mary Roberts; sister, Celia. Survived by: daughters: Sherri (Ron) Anderson, Karen Epp; son: Scott (Kim) Roberts; sister: Ruth Kerstine; sister-in-law: Kristy Broadstone; brother-in-law, Dwight York, Dr. Eric York; Grandchildren: Kelly Epp, Jeff (Lori) Anderson, Ron Jr. (Jenny) Anderson, Stefani (Tom) Toebben, Rusty (Barbie) Anderson, Janice Kehn, Michael Roberts, Alec Roberts; numerous great grandchildren; many other relatives & friends.
