Harriette Dorothy Palmer

July 29, 1918 — September 29, 2016

Harriette Dorothy Scott Jones Palmer was embraced by the arms of her Blessed Savior Christ Jesus of Nazareth on the morning of Sept. 29 – she lived to the age of 98.Harriette was born July 29, 1918 to Dennis and Grace Scott of Kansas City, Kansas. She was the eighth of nine siblings, all of whom have gone to the bosom of the Lord.Harriette wedded at the age of 17, to Curtis Nelson Jones of Omaha, (the youngest of five sibling Joneses), when the two of them met at a Bible Conference; as both of their families attended their respective Gospel Halls – one in Kansas City, the other in Omaha. Curt & Harriette Jones bore two sons, Gary of Omaha and Robert of Solvang, CA.After Curt left to the presence of the Lord in 1966, seven years passed when Harriette remarried to Edward Palmer, and they had a lovely life together until Ed was lost his battle with cancer in 1983. Harriette is survived by her sons, Bobby and his wife Netta, (mutually adored), and Gary along with Gary’s offspring, Gregory Allen and Vicki Lynn and their spouses and six children and grandchildren. Harriette’s mainstay throughout her life was to continue to share the goodness of the Lord. She kept herself steeped in the Word and her greatest wish was that everyone should personally know the Living God. In the later years, the gradual loss of her hearing made communications increasing difficult. To add to physical challenges, macular degeneration became yet another issue, and this became even more difficult for Harriette to engage in the one-on-one exchanges that she so dearly loved. Through all, Harriette was constantly upbeat in her outlook. And once again, her evangelical attitude permeated all of her communications. She is already sorely missed, and loved by hundreds of devoted friends.
