Gregory “Greg” Bruner, 66, left us on May 21, 2017, with his family by his side at the VA Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska. Greg was born October 26, 1950, in Omaha to Thadeous and Rosalie Bruner.He attended Saratoga Elementary, Horace Mann Junior High, and graduated from Omaha North High School.After graduating high school, Greg made the decision to enlist in the United States Marine Corps. Greg was employed at First Data Resources, where he worked for 28 years before retiring.It was during this time that he met his wife of 26 years, MaryAnn Henley.During his retirement Greg continued to be of service to others.He worked for Omaha Public Schools for 2 years in the cafeteria and was a grand-parent for children with special needs.In his leisure time Greg enjoyed fishing, watching sports, and having a good time with family and friends. Gregory Bruner is preceded in death by his loving parents, Thadeous and Rosalie Bruner; grandmother Ada Meyers; brother Charles Bruner; daughter Lisa Henley; and great-grandson Luther Humphrey Jr.He leaves to cherish his memory, wife Mary Ann Bruner; two brothers, Michael Bruner and Kevin (Val) Bruner of Baltimore MD; beloved sister, Jackie Bruner; four step-children, Darrell Rollins, Phillip Henley (Atlanta, GA), LaTonda Henley, and Latresa Rockiki (Los Angeles, CA); grandchildren, Katia Henley, A’Kia Henley, Charnea Henley, Chirah Henley, Rolando Henley, Stephanie Cloclasure, and Darcell Meeks; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
