Grace A Kilpatrick

Grace Adeline (Thirtle) Kilpatrick, age 95, passed away in the early morning of January 1, 2026. She was born on November 27, 1930 to Thomas and Ava (Wickham) Thirtle in St. Charles, Minnesota.

Grace was an avid gardener, growing and preserving produce for her family. Her love of sewing and crafts translated into many years of sewing theater costumes first for North High School and then for Ibsen Costume Gallery. One of her creations was to make the Inauguration gown for Kay Orr when she was elected Governor of Nebraska. She enjoyed embellishing clothing with punch loop designs. Her knitted sweaters were beautiful and adorned many of her family and friends. There was not a needle craft that she could not do. She enjoyed traveling with Charley after retirement, visiting many places around the States in their little travel trailer.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Charles, 6 siblings and grandson, Kyle Hart; She is survived by daughters Kelen Panec, of Omaha, NE, Gail (Rick) Hart of Valley Center, CA, and John Kilpatrick of Omaha, NE; seven grandchildren: Karen (Ian) Mellor of Spring Valley, CA, Amy (Brett) Evenstad of Escondido, CA, Chad (Tanya) Kilpatrick of Lincoln, NE, Hannah Panec, Omaha, NE, Holly Hart of Vista, CA, Joan (Patrick) Mayfield of Shell Rock, IA and Ryan Kilpatrick of Kansas City, MO; great-grandchildren, Avery and Evan Mellor Spring Valley, CA.; Colin and Claire Evanstad of Escondido, CA, Alice Stover of Omaha, NE, Oliver Mayfield of Shell Rock, IA and Brett and Carly Kilpatrick of Lincoln, NE.

CELEBRATION OF GRACE'S LIFE: Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 10:30 am, with VISITATION one hour prior to the service, all at Braman Mortuary (72 St Chapel)
