Gerald “Gerry” Wayne Birth Jr., age 54, passed away on November 26, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, humor, and heart as big as the open road he loved so dearly. Born on October 20, 1971, Gerry grew up with an appreciation for the simple, honest joys in life—crisp fall mornings, the rhythm of a harvest season, and the steady hum of a truck rolling down a long stretch of highway.

To know Gerry was to know conversation. He could talk your ear off about anything—trucking stories, family memories, or the changing colors of the autumn trees he adored. His voice, always full of good nature, laughter, and a little mischief, had a way of making others feel welcome and understood. Family was the heart of Gerry’s world. He cherished time spent with loved ones, whether it was sharing a meal, swapping stories, or simply enjoying each other’s company.

Gerry was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Wayne Birth Sr.; his stepfather, Larry Birth; his Aunt Valerie Dodd; his Uncle Ronnie Ottman; his great-nephew, Jacobi Dean Jarecki; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins whom he remembered fondly throughout his life.

He is survived by his mother, Phyllis Birth; his sisters, Karna Jarecki and Krista Grizzle; his brother-in-law Kevin Jarecki and brother-in-law Andy Grizzle; his nephews, Brent and Jesse Jarecki; and his niece, Annalynn Grizzle. Each of them carries a piece of Gerry’s spirit—his humor, his stubborn streak, his tenderness, and his deep love for family.

Gerry’s presence will be missed at every gathering, every harvest season, and every long drive where his stories once filled the quiet. Though he has taken his final journey, those who love him will forever feel him riding along beside them.
