Gerald Dennis “Denny” Baty was born in Omaha, Nebraska on October 6th 1938, and passed away peacefully at home on April 30th 2025.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Baty; his brothers, James Baty and Richard Baty; and his sisters, Donna Foehlinger, Delma Harris and Mary Dolinsky. He also mourned the loss of four children: Sandra Marie Baty, Pam Maldonado, Jerry Charles Baty and James Michael Baty.
He is lovingly remembered by his children; Denise Rolfes (Donald), Kerrie Yeoman (Eddie), Jackie Lynne Garcia, Dennis Baty, Teresa Lyman (Dale), Donna Bultez, as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Denny worked his entire life in construction and took pride in a hard day’s work. He found joy in helping others, whether it be lending a hand to a neighbor or making the recycling plant’s job easier by removing labels from cans. He also had deep compassion for animals, befriending and feeding many stray cats over the years.
A master of the slot machines, Denny had a fondness for Casino visits. He was an avid coin collector as well as a collector of many other things. “One man's trash is another man's treasure”, - Philippians 89:50
Denny’s legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
CELEBRATION OF DENNY'S LIFE: Thursday, May 8th, 2025 at 11:00 am, with VISITATION one hour prior to the service, all at Braman Mortuary (72 St Chapel).
