Gary was born in Omaha, NE, to Harlan and Leona Cratty. He is survived by brother Bruce (Judy), sister Gloria (Tom) Kannas and nephews Michael Berg and Philip (Trish) Berg.
Despite being handicapped, Gary held several jobs including at Goodwill Industries, Madonna School, Burger King and Skyline Retirement Community.
He enjoyed bowling , bicycling and playing pool. He would practice his pool shooting skills for hours to be ready to compete with Bruce during their weekly pool game. Gary also had an exercise bike that he accumulated over 7000 miles of riding on during his daily routine (except Sunday 'day off'). He wanted to stay in shape for his summer rides on the Keystone trail with Gloria. He wore out many pair of shoes walking the sidewalks of Benson and Keystone, recycling cans! He knit many cat blankets for use at area Humane societies.
He looked forward to family gatherings that included La Casa Pizza and a family recipe of homemade maple ice cream and spice cake with penuche frosting.
The family appreciated the care given Gary by all the staff at Keystone Assisted Living.
Gary had a peaceful passing surrounded by love.
