Gail Margaret Brown, September 21, 1941 ~ July 21, 2025
Gail Brown was a daughter, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a great- grandmother, a sister- in- law, an aunt, and a beloved friend to many. She was born to Thomas D. Williams and Margaret V. Patton (with whom she shared her birthday) as an only child. She graduated from Marion High School in 1959 and enjoyed reconnecting with her classmates over the years. Gail worked hard at every job she had and made great friends with coworkers and customers. From her time at the ticket booth at the Omaha Theatre, to dressing performers in wardrobe at the Orpheum, to helping customers at Kubats and assisting with the Archdiocese of Omaha, she met and cared for countless people. She found her community and faith at Holy Cross and loved helping out in so many ways.
Her home was filled with pheasants, but you could also find cardinals, and many treasures from her travels with Al. Everything had a story that could probably get her laughing from memories. She loved visiting with family and was up for an adventure - from Universal Studios to Mackinac Island and anywhere that sounded fun. She read the paper every day and loved a good crossword puzzle at her dining room table while Gunsmoke played in the background. The Witch of 55th Street has flown over the rainbow and we will miss her dearly.
Gail was preceded in death by husband Allen; She is survived by her son Jeff Brown & wife Christine; daughter Julie DeMent & husband Robert; 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends.
