Gage Andrew Ray Pirruccello
Born February 16, 2001 – Entered into rest August 24, 2025
Gage Andrew Ray Pirruccello was born in Fremont, Nebraska, to Jaycee Ditzler and Shawn Pirruccello. He was preceded in death by his father, Shawn; grandmother, Janice Pirruccello; and brother by choice, Seth Blimling.
When Gage came into the world, he was the youngest of five children: Savannah, Alex, Keenan, and Ben. He grew up in Millard with his mom, Jaycee, where they planted their roots and built a home. Gage was showered with love from many friends and family, most notably Grandma Shelli, Aunt Abi, Uncle Dean, and his beloved puppy, Templeton Benedict Pirruccello. His cousin Deano, his “day one,” was his built-in best friend. Gage also found lifelong family in Jake Miller, Bailey Gomez, and Seth Blimling, who spent their childhood running the neighborhood together.
From a young age, Gage showed motivation and entrepreneurial spirit. His “sneaker hustle” helped fund his love of sneakers and skating. Skatedaze became one of his favorite places, where he built lasting friendships doing something he loved. In 2012, Gage embraced the role of big brother when Gabryal was born, followed by twins Graycee and Gavin in 2016. He became their protector, confidant, and role model. High school brought both challenges and triumphs. After the loss of his father, Gage persevered with determination and graduated from Horizon High School, class of 2019. During that time, Gage became a father—a role he cherished above all others. With Katlyn, he welcomed his first son, Levi Andrew, on December 9, 2019. Later, with lifelong friend Bailey, he welcomed his second son, Kingston Lee, on December 6, 2021. Fatherhood became his greatest joy, and Gage thrived as “Daddy.” He worked tirelessly to provide love, strength, and consistency for his boys, who were his whole world.
Though his children, siblings, nieces, nephew, and second cousin didn’t have as many years with Gage as they deserved, his family promises to keep his memory alive. Through stories, photos, and videos, especially that unforgettable, booming laugh—they will always know their Daddy, big brother, uncle, and cousin the way we all do.
Gage is survived by his mother, Jaycee Ditzler; sons, Levi Andrew Cortez-Pirruccello and Kingston Lee Shawn Pirruccello; sisters, Gabryal Rain Marie Brethouwer, Graycee Lorraine Storm Brethouwer, Savannah Hill and Alex Karnes (Freddy); brothers, Gavin James Ray Brethouwer, Keenan Stafford, and Ben Fry (Brandy); aunt Abigeal Finley; uncle Dean Richard Finley II; cousins Dean Richard Finley III (Marrissa Bogardus) and Dean Richard Finley IV; nephew Hendrixx; nieces Luna and Effie; Aunt Shannon Sweet (Roland); many nieces, nephews and cousins; and countless friends he considered family.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations directed to Braman Mortuary to help cover the unexpected expenses, so that Jaycee, Levi, Kingston, and siblings can bring Gage home.
