MEESTER, Eugene G. 10/4/1938 – 8/27/2018 On Monday, August 27, 2018, Eugene Meester, loving husband of Jeanette and father to Terry and Tim Meester passed away at the age of 80. Gene was born October 4, 1938 in Omaha, NE to George & Irene Meester. He graduated from North High School in 1957. On May 31, 1959, he married his high school sweetheart, Jeannette. He had a long and successful career with Presto X Pest Control where he retired from his position as General Manager in 2002. Throughout his career he was nationally recognized for his expertise in the pest control industry and was a frequent speaker at association meetings. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. The tales of his greatest catch got larger with time, but family and friends all agree that his greatest catch was Jeannette. Gene was often seen at sport shows giving fishing seminars as a recognized expert in the sport of Crappie fishing. Gene is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jeannette, his sons Terry and Tim (Lisa) Meester; grandchildren Justin, Jourdan, Tyler and Kayla; brother, Duane and sister, Carolyn and many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.
