Ethan Slaughter formerly known as Lauren Martin December 12, 1996 - June 20, 2023 Ethan Slaughter, 26, passed away at his home in Olympia, Washington on June 20, 2023. Ethan was following his dream of studying the culinary arts at Metropolitan Community College, and had planned to complete his studies at South Puget Sound Community College in Washington. Ethan enjoyed drawing, painting, playing his guitar, photography, manga, anime, cosplay, archery, and playing games of all sorts. Ethan and his partner, Andrea, enjoyed playing board games with the elderly through the volunteer group Stay Sharp, and ran an online community for the trans community. Ethan and Andrea loved traveling, and had many exciting adventures together. They had just begun their newest adventure together with their move to Olympia in April. Ethan is survived by his mother, Amy (Deric) Hartman of Omaha; father, Rich (Shanna) Martin of Highland, UT; grandparents, DeWayne & Nikki Slaughter of Treynor, IA; Rick & Patricia Martin of Omaha; Deb Martin of Highland, UT; sisters Hayley, Lexi, Abbie, Piper, and Elle Martin, Katie (Cody) Barnes, Dacia (Dylan) Wright, Kara Hartman, and Katelynn Mulder; brother Morgan (Sandy) Lapka; uncles Jason (Angie) Slaughter, Jamie (Lindsey) Slaughter, and aunt Michelle Martin; nephew Kaden; nieces Caleigh and Ryleigh; cousins Emily, Damien, Lily, Maddix, Bryan, Easton, Nixon, Andrew, Nick, and Ben; many friends and found family; and life partner Andrea Schrader and beloved cat, Pepper.
