Esther V. Jones passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025 in Omaha, Nebraska.
Esther was born to parents Vern and Gertrude Lewis on February 14, 1929, in Humphrey, NE. Esther had five brothers and one sister. After graduating from St. Francis High School in Humphrey, she moved to Omaha, NE where she met the love of her life Conrad Jones. They married on May 2, 1948, together they had three children.
Esther retired from the City of Omaha Arts and Crafts department where she operated the kilns for ceramics. She herself was an avid painter and also enjoyed writing poetry, even having some of her poems published throughout the years.
Esther had many hobbies including antiques, arts and crafts and her love for gardening could be seen throughout her yard. She loved decorating for the holidays and that tradition has continued through her family. She always enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was always willing to help those who needed it most even if it was just lending an ear to listen and give advice. Her sense of humor was one to be matched, she always loved hearing a joke or telling one. Even at the ripe young age of 96, she kept people on their toes.
Esther is survived by daughter Linda Anderson (Leonard–deceased), granddaughter Sherry Carr (Glenn), grandson Michael Anderson, great grandson James Anderson (Sonja), many nieces and nephews.
Esther is preceded in death by parents Vern and Gertrude Lewis, Brothers Keith, Don, Bob, Larry, and Jim, sister Anna Brandt. Husband Conrad Jones, son Greg Jones, son Allen Jones. Esther will be missed and remembered by many.
CELEBRATION OF ESTHER'S LIFE: Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with VISITATION one hour prior to the service, all at Braman Mortuary (72 St. Chapel). INTERMENT: Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park.
