In Loving Memory of Estelita Patdu

Estelita was a loving and caring soul whose life was defined by generosity, resilience, and devotion to family. From the earliest days, she carried the weight of responsibility with grace—supporting her father and some of her siblings when they moved to Manila by establishing a grocery store to provide for them. Her home became a haven, welcoming relatives from the provinces and offering shelter, guidance, and love to all who entered.

Her kindness touched lives far beyond her family. One cousin, who lived under her care, wrote a heartfelt tribute about how she guided him when the road ahead was unclear and the burden of choices felt heavy. That was her gift—she gave direction and comfort when it was most needed.

She was known for her radiant smile and gentle spirit, qualities that endeared her not only to family and friends but also to the caregivers at the nursing home where she spent her later years. Many shed tears at her passing, a testament to the depth of her compassion and the bonds she formed.

Through hardship, she never wavered in her devotion. Even in the lowest moments, she ensured her children were fed and educated, taking on odd jobs and declaring that she would do whatever it took to keep her family moving forward. Her resolve showed the depth of her love, and her strength was quiet but unbreakable.

To her grandchildren, she was “Lola Mom,” a figure of boundless love. She gave freely, even when she had little, and always found time to care for them, to listen, and to be present. Her legacy lives on in their hearts and in the countless lives she touched with her kindness.

Estelita leaves behind a legacy of love, sacrifice, and unwavering care. She will be remembered not only for what she gave but for who she was—a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose life was a blessing to all.
