Douglas W. Kobylasz

Douglas William Kobylasz, 72, born September 18, 1953 in Nevada, Iowa passed away on September 2, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska surround by family. He left behind a lifetime of memories, love, adventure, and a legacy that will continue through the many lives he touched.

For 35 years, Doug built a respected career in the construction industry, bringing a strong work ethic, dedication, and craftsmanship to everything he did. His commitment to hard work was only one part of who he was. Away from work, Doug's true spirit shined through in his love for the outdoors and adventure.

An avid fisherman and camper, Doug cherished the time he spent surrounded by nature. He loved traveling and embarked on countless memorable journeys on his motorcycle, always ready to see where the next road would lead. Known for his adventurous heart and steady presence, Doug brought joy, excitement, and unforgettable memories to the lives of everyone around him.

Doug leaves behind a legacy of deep love and devotion. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Deborah Kobylasz; his son, Robert Kobylasz (Jill), daughter-in-law Melissa Kobylasz, daughter Diane Proffitt (Ben) and his sister, Shari Irvin.

He was a proud and loving grandfather to Shad Kobylasz (Cheyenne), Taylor Armstrong, Hunter Proffitt, Kayleigh Kremhelmer (Sam), Katie Kobylasz, Joseph Kobylasz, Norah Kobylasz, Rylie Proffitt, and Dominic Kobylasz. He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Kyren and Asher Kobylasz. In addition, he is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved son, Jamie Kobylasz, his grandson, Jordan Armstrong, and his devoted dog Kallie.

Though his absence will be deeply felt, Doug's adventurous spirit, strong work ethic, love for his family, and the countless memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
