Daniel Arthur Denney

Daniel “Dan” Denney of Omaha, Nebraska was born on April 3, 1945, to Max and Mary Lee Denney. He passed away at home on August 25, 2025. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Marcia (Gregerson) Denney; his children, Josh (Debi) Denney and Sabrina (Bryant Bull) Denney Bull; his grandchildren, Charlie Denney, Elaine Denney, and Matilda Denney-Bull; his brother, Jon Denney; his brother-in-law, Larry (Rosie) Gregerson; as well as nieces and nephews.

Dan will be remembered for his kind heart, his devotion to family, and his love of both nature and cats. He dedicated many years to Masonic organizations, including Miloma Lodge #328 where he was a Past Master, and Trinity Chapter #299 Order of Eastern Star where he was a Past Worthy Patron. Dan also enjoyed cheering on Nebraska football, volleyball, and women’s basketball, and he found great joy in spending time at the river and out on his boat.

Services: Visitation will be held at The Water’s Edge Church (19600 Harrison Street, Gretna) on Friday, August 29th, from 5:00-7:00pm, ending with a brief Masonic service.

A celebration of life will take place at The Water’s Edge Church on Saturday, August 30th at 11:00am, followed by lunch. The service will be live-streamed at www.youtube.com/weomaha

Dan’s family will proceed to the interment at the Herman Cemetery following lunch.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the family for a scholarship to be established.
