Connie L. Vincent

November 3, 1949 — February 14, 2022

VINCENT, Connie L. 11/3/1949 – 2/14/2022 Connie lived a life full of love. Her lifelong friend and twin sister Bonnie grew up in a loving home. She met Gary and developed a fondness for car racing. She was the mother to five children, continually making enormous meals and doing tons of laundry. She worked hard as a homemaker, but always made time to watch her soap operas. When Connie’s children were all school age, she began work as a lunch lady at a high school, making even more meals. She enjoyed making Christmas candy. She baked and decorated cakes. Additionally, she made sure to snap a photo of every birthday cake. No one would dare cut a cake before Connie photographed it. She craved Diet Dr. Pepper, and sipped it while watching TV and while spending time on her computer. She would often be found playing Candy Crush on that computer. She also discovered the ease of ordering clothes from Amazon (many of which got returned). Connie excelled at crocheting blankets and beckoning cats to sit on a blanket over her lap. She had a knack for remembering dates. Connie was passionate about the Huskers, and would yell at the television to cheer on the football team. Connie bravely beat breast cancer, and continued to fight through other health issues. Indeed, her most impressive talent was the piercing volume of her dinner time announcements. They echoed throughout the neighborhood. Even if her children were at the park, they would know it was time to eat. What Connie seemed to love the most was hugs from her five grandchildren, asking for them after every visit. With so much love, it’s fitting that Connie held on to life until Valentine’s Day. She is survived by her husband Gary Vincent; children: Tony Vincent (Derek Perry), Danny Vincent, Jody Vincent, Laura (Nathan) Scraper, Tania (Shaun) Lark; grandchildren: Natalie, Connor, Ellie, Isla, Mila; twin-sister Bonnie Crawford VISITATION: Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 5-7:00pm at Braman Mortuary (Southwest Chapel) CELEBRATION OF CONNIE’S LIFE: Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 1:30pm at Braman Mortuary (Southwest Chapel) INTERMENT: Evergreen Memorial Park Braman Mortuary - Southwest Chapel 6505 S. 144 St. Omaha, NE68137 402-895-3400
