Connie S. (Maret) Israelson, 63, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on October 9, 2025. She was born on February 19, 1962, in Fremont, Nebraska, to Darrell Maret and Reita Covert.

Connie was known for her big heart, quick wit, and a touch of orneriness that made her truly unforgettable. She had a way of bringing laughter and warmth to every room she entered. Connie cherished the simple joys of life—spending time with her best friend and husband, Mike, and never passing up a good bargain or a coupon deal.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Mike Israelson; sister, Kyndra Witthuhn; sisters-in-law Deanna Maret, Dee Barry, and Kim Rydberg; nieces Brandy (JP) Hanes, Becky (Mark) Keyser, and Kristal Rydberg; nephews Cody Rydberg, Donovan Carr, and Timothy Headley; and several beloved great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Reita Maret; in-laws Don and Karen Israelson; brother Ron Maret; brother-in-law Eric Witthuhn; and niece Andrea Maret.

Connie will be remembered for her generosity, her humor, and the love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her memory will live on through the countless stories and laughter she leaves behind.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Braman Mortuary, located at 6505 S 144th St, Omaha, NE 68137.
