Chad DeWayne Taylor, of Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on September 19, 2025, at the age of 54. Born January 29, 1971, in Topeka, Kansas to Charles Ray and Nancy Weseloh Taylor.
Chad attended elementary, middle, and high school in Topeka, KS. After graduation in 1989, he went on to attend college. Chad loved baseball which earned him scholarships during his college careers at Allen County Community College, Grandview College of Des Moines, and Bellevue University. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sports management and a minor in physical education from Bellevue University in 1994. Chad worked in the retail grocery industry his entire adult life. He took pride in his work and was very particular about how his stores ran and looked.
Chad was an avid sportsman and loved baseball, football, basketball, and golf. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Chad is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lisa; daughters Audra Gibbons (Sean), Felicity Taylor, Katelyn Berglund, and Ashley Sams; mother Nancy Taylor; brothers Jason (Stacy) and Dustin (Stephanie), eight grandchildren Sophie, Charollette, Olivia, Holden, Emmett, Scarlett, Molly, and Giovanni; mother-in-law Diane, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles; daughter Lillian Ann; grandparents Virgil & Arlene Weseloh and Shelby & Velva Taylor.
The family will be available for a Celebration of His Life at Braman Mortuary, Millard Chapel, 6505 S 144th St., Omaha, NE, on October 1st, 2025 from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
