Cathy was born Catherine Marie Kruse in Leavenworth, Kansas on February 5, 1957 to Walt and Betty Kruse. She attended Leavenworth High School where she met and dated Morris Woods. They married on September 8, 1979 and moved to Omaha, NE. Cathy worked for Omaha State Bank, later Core Bank, for 42 years where she had various positions from
Proof Dept to Branch Manager and then the IT Dept. Cathy and Morris had two children, Stephen and Jessica, and later 3 grandkids with one on the way. Cathy and Morris enjoyed sports and played softball, sand volleyball, scuba diving, snorkeling and snow skiing. Cathy also loved to travel on adventures everywhere from the beaches in the Caribbean and
Hawaii to various places in Europe and around the US. Cathy was a Kansas State and KC Chiefs football fan and made many road trips with family to see K-State games all over the country and even traveled as far as Ireland last year to cheer them on. Cathy loved to spend time with her grandkids, family and her many friends, as well as reading fantasy novels in her spare time. She was an avid reader and liked crossword puzzles and other games.

Cathy is proceeded in death by her parents Walt and Betty Kruse and her son Stephen Woods. Survived by her husband Morris Woods, daughter Jessie (Kurtis) Moeller, daughter-in-law Ashley Woods, sister Norma (Jerry) Henshaw, brother Jerry Kruse, brother-in-law Jack (Mary) Woods, sister-in-law Annette (Bob) Frey, mother and father-in-law Charmaine (Earl) Olsen, grandkids Keely Koop, Vella Woods and Kade Moeller.
