Carl "Chuck" S. Caniglia

Carl “Chuck” Caniglia, son of Sam and Melena Caniglia passed away on August 8, 2026.

Chuck was born July 11, 1939. He served in the US Army, and while stationed in Germany he married Irene. In 1962 they began their new lives together in Omaha where they raised their family.

Chuck continued his life of service and devotion with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department as a process server, deputy reserve officer and Constable, as well as with the Bennington Police Department as a reserve.

Chuck enjoyed fishing and spending time with family and friends above all else, and he always had a sweet spot for kiddos and dogs.

Chuck is preceded in death by his wife Irene, son Sam and daughter Amber.

He is survived by his daughter Renee, Aunt Josephine, siblings Ross (Barb) and Mikki, the extended Caniglia family, and many friends who will deeply miss his presence in their lives.

Memorial Service: Thursday, August 27 at 10 am, with visitation starting at 9 am, at Braman Mortuary Millard Chapel, 6505 S. 144th St., Omaha, NE
