Candi LaTanya Gunn, affectionately called, “Tan” was born in Omaha, Nebraska on December 23, 1970 to Windell and Clenettie Gunn. Candi accepted Christ as her savor at an early age and was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. Candi enjoyed having fun with family and friends she would light up the room with her smile. She enjoyed cooking and would make tasty dishes for family gatherings. Candi loved to dress and look good. She always stayed in shape riding her bicycle across town. Candi excelled in academics that gave her the opportunity to advance from the 7th grade to 8th grade at McMillan Junior High. She later obtained her Bachelors Degree in Health Science from Bellevue University in 2002. After graduation Candi was employed in the medical field. She was a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens and a Phlebotomist at the Nebraska Medical Center. On December 15th, 2016 Candi moved to California and married Ricardo Bermudez. They resided in California until 2018 where they relocated back to Omaha, NE. She passed peaceful in her sleep on July 14, 2020. Her death came as a surprise to all. Special memories of Candi will be cherished by her mother Clenettie Gunn, and father Windell (Carol) Gunn, husband Richardo Bermudez, children: Marcus Allen, Christian Dior Allen, grandchildren: Lovyea, Jalen, Eva, Ava and Cahdi, sister Connice (Richard) Kelly, brother Wendell (Monique) Gunn, nieces and nephews: LaTosha (Daryl) Legon, Rashad Kelly, Brandon (Amy) Gunn, Brittany Gunn all of Omaha, NE; and a host of family and friends..
