Brittany Eileen O'Connor, October 27, 1989 ~ December 27, 2025

Brittany Eileen O’Connor was born in Omaha, NE on October 27, 1989 and passed away on December 27, 2025. She is preceded in death by Ralph and Florence Renner. She is survived by Cody, Jameson and Vayda (her “Velcro Dog”) Green; Carri and Brian Pavlik; Char Spicl; Ashley, Vince, Ava, Elsa and Isla Carroll; Bryson Pavlik and RiLeigh; Bart and Lisa Klein; as well as many extended family members, including grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and nieces.

As a child, Brittany was the most loving, affectionate little girl with a head full of blonde curls and the most adorable smile. In a futile, but sweet attempt to evade bedtime nightly, Brittany would yell from her bedroom, “Mom, Dad, I gotta tell you sumpin’.” They’d respond back, “What, Brittany?” and she’d just respond, “I love you!”

Always eager to keep up with Ashley, Brittany happily joined in her sister’s home theatrical productions and shared her interests with enthusiasm. Her love for performing led her to the Florentine Players, where she appeared in starring roles in Spice Girls and Men in Black dance routines alongside Ashley. As she grew older, her athletic abilities shone through participation in club basketball and volleyball, continuing into her high school years. When Bryson came along, there was no one more protective or devoted than Brittany.

Brittany graduated from Blair High School and studied Graphic Design before entering the restaurant industry, going from hostess, to server, to bartender and finally into management. She had many passions which included her family, friends, cooking, music, art and sports. Her love of volleyball continued for many years, including multiple, concurrent sand volleyball teams with so many of her friends. She also loved cheering on the Lady Huskers. She was an avid Raiders fan through their many wins and more frequent losses..

One night at the Underwood while playing darts with mutual friends, Brittany met the love of her life, Cody. It took Cody several weeks to muster the courage to ask her out. He invited her to a Murs rap concert at the Waiting Room. She quickly agreed to go, even though she had no idea who Murs was. Cody was a little hesitant to let Brittany in because he did not want to introduce someone to his son, Jameson, until he was sure she was the one. Yet sometimes our kids know before we do that all we have ever needed is right before our eyes.

When asked if she ever wanted to have children one day, Brittany quickly responded, “I have Jameson and Vayda and that’s all I need.” Together, they formed a beautiful family. Brittany, Jameson and Cody loved to watch Marvel movies, Five Nights at Freddy’s and America’s Funniest Home Videos Animal Edition (especially the falling cat videos). Brittany and Jameson had a special bond; you could hear the pride in her voice when she spoke of Jameson’s accomplishments at school and his belt progression in taekwondo.

One of her most cherished roles was as a favorite aunt to her three nieces: Ava, Elsa and Isla. Brittany liked to take them out for birthday sushi or ice cream. Ava and Elsa have fond memories of sleepovers at Aunt Brit’s house that may or may not include a snake coming out of a drain and eating an entire bag of shredded cheese.

At each stage of her life Brittany acquired new friends, but kept many of the same ones throughout her life. Brittany was loved by all who knew her. If you were lucky enough to have Brittany call you her friend, you had the most loyal and fiercest defender in your corner for life.
