Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many passed away on February 20, 2015 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Born on January 8, 1928 to Harry and Marie (Shaefer) Jarvis, Bobby was the middle son of three boys. After graduating, he enlisted with the US Navy and served as a pilot on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific during World War II. Upon returning home, Bobby met Betty (Estergard) and they married on October, 22nd, 1950. He worked as a master electrician for a number of firms and was an electrical inspector for the City of Omaha for many years. Over the years, Bobby continued to enjoy flying small planes and radio-controlled aircraft, traveling, ballroom dancing and activities with family. He was an active member for over 50 years with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local #22. Bobby also enjoyed interacting with friends of a local radio-controlled aircraft club, including spending time with his many friends at Lakeside Senior Living Center. He was preceded in death by his wives, Betty (Estergard) and Dottie (Dross); mother, father, aunts and brothers. He is survived by daughters Connie (Gary) Martin of Omaha, Nebraska, Cris Jarivs and Dana of Omaha, Nebraska; Grandchildren: Gary Martin Jr. of Omaha, Nebraska, Sara Gudenkauf of Keokuk, Iowa and Cody Hawkins of Omaha, Nebraska; Great-Grandsons: Jarod Circo, Trevin Martin, Caleb Martin, Tristan Gudenkauf and Isaiah Gudenkauf. Celebration of Bobby’s life will be Monday, February 23rd, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Braman Mortuary (72nd Street Chapel) with a visitation Sunday, February 22rd, 2015 from 2-4:00 p.m. at Braman Mortuary (72nd Street Chapel). Interment will take place at Forest Lawn.
