Barbara (Barb) Matthews was born on April 24th, 1941 in Iowa City, IA. She passed away at home on June 28, 2026 at the age of 85. Barb grew up in Stuart, IA and married William Matthews. In 1963 they moved to Millard, NE. Helped establish Hope Presbyterian Church, where “all her girls” were baptized and confirmed. Barb was a charter member of Hope. In pursuit of a life time dream she became a Licensed Practical Nurse, worked as a Psychiatric, Geriatric and Hospice nurse for 30 years.
She enjoyed sewing for her girls, quilting with her sister, reading cook books and creating delicious foods. Barb spent hours watching her flowers bloom and birds in her feeders.
