Anton Louis Sibbel, Thursday, November 2nd, 1933 ~ Friday, December 19th, 2025
Anton “Tony” Louis Sibbel, born November 2, 1933, passed away after a life marked by service, innovation, faith, and devotion to family. Raised on a farm near Butte, Nebraska, Tony’s early years instilled in him a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for community.
After graduating from school in Butte, Tony served his country as a linguist in the United States Army. It was after his service that he met the love of his life, Kathleen Lingohr, in Helena, Montana. The two married on May 26, 1962, and together built a family and a partnership that spanned more than six decades.
Tony’s professional journey led him into the world of finance, where he worked with organizations such as Household Finance, Allis Chalmers, Lindsey Credit Corporation, and Primerica. He was known for his unwavering commitment to his clients, always striving to help others save and invest wisely. Tony’s innovative spirit shone through in his work—he became an authority on the valuation of irrigation systems and developed programs that helped farmers save thousands by assuming the balance of failed loans rather than starting new leases. At Primerica, he dedicated himself to ensuring families were prepared for retirement through sound financial planning.
Central to Tony’s life was his deep devotion to God and his church. He was a faithful member of his congregation, consistently observing vigils on the appropriate holy days and participating actively in church life. Tony’s faith guided his actions and was reflected in his commitment to service, generosity, and integrity.
Long before it became a trend, Tony and Kathleen were “flipping” homes, teaching their family valuable lessons about adaptability and resilience along the way. Of all the awards and accolades he received in his work life, he was the proudest of his 4 sons.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen, and their four sons: Ronald (Kathy), Michael (Nayda), Tim (Millie), and Mark (Sarah). He leaves behind a legacy of love and wisdom for his ten grandchildren—Brandon, Kaleigh, Mara (Dustin Anthony), David (Vicki Moore), Rocio (Bobby Seale), Allie (Derek Evasco), Joe and Rachel (Ronaldo)—and fourteen great-grandchildren: Marleigh, Independence, Brody, Trinadi, Brooklyn, Olivia, Bradleigh, Phoenix, Noa, Jade, Ryan Hime, Carmen, Rylie, and Jesse. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Tony’s life was a testament to hard work, innovation, faith, and the enduring power of family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
