Ann Tiesi

Ann was born in Binghamton, New York on September 9, 1933. She met Joe during a blind date on Halloween night. We all know this lead to a very happy sixty-two years of marriage and two sons. Reading was one of her great passions and kept all the books she read over the years, along with an extensive list of her readings. In addition she was a big fan of Vera Bradly purses and filled her closet with so many there was no room for Joe’s clothes. Ann shared Joe’s love of baseball and was a big fan of the New York Yankees until they moved to Omaha in 2012 and then it was the KC Royals just in time for them to win the World Series.

Ann was a very devout Catholic and very involved in all church activities, first at St Mary’s Church in Binghamton, NY and then St Stephen the Martyr Church after her and Joe moved to Omaha. She really enjoyed all of her Bible study classes and her “Fish” group. On Sundays you would always find her and her friends having donuts, coffee and as she put it Chit-Chat. She really enjoyed and loved her Church Family.

Ann passed away peacefully on June 20, with her family around her. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, father Stefan, her mother Anna and Brother Nicholas. Survived sons Michael (wife Jeremy) and William (wife Heather), grandchildren Andrew, Sara (Chris) Hoffman, Paige (Matt) Parkert and Emery Tiesi, along with six great grandchildren (Nicholas, Isabella, Emma, Milo, Grayson and Arwen). Many other relatives and friends.

FUNERAL MASS: Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with VISITATION one hour prior to the service, all at St. Stephen the Martyr Catholic Church (16701 S. St.)

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Omaha National Cemetery.
