Allan was President and CEO of Midwest Industrial Tools, Inc., Omaha & Columbus, NE, Denver, CO and Salt Lake City, UT; distributor of machine tools and industrial supplies. Graduate of Central High School, Sioux City, Iowa, Class of 1963. Attended New Mexico State University, Las Cruces, New Mexico, where he was active in the ROTC program. Past President of many industrial trade associations including, Central States Industrial Distributors Association, the Industrial Distribution Association and the American Machine Tool Distributors Association; the only industry professional to serve as President of all three associations. Past Chairman of the Industrial Supply Association Education Foundation. Selected by many manufacturers to serve on their advisory councils in leadership roles. Supported business development in the Omaha area by serving as Past President of the Sarpy County Economic Development Corporation. Promoter of education; serving on the University of Nebraska-Omaha College of Engineering - Industrial Advisory Committee, Bellevue University - President’s Entrepreneurial Advisory Council and the University of Alabama-Birmingham Industrial Distribution Steering Committee. 35 year member of Faith-Westwood United Methodist Church.
