Obituary for Harold J. Tomich

Harold J. Tomich, 89, of Omaha was born on Jan. 24, 1931, to John and Mildred Tomich in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Harold was an army veteran who was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. He would go on to become a well-known and respected salesman for Fuchs Machinery in Omaha, where he settled with his family over 50 years ago. A jovial and dependable giant all his life, Harold graciously served as a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, neighbor, and friend. He was poud to be Croatian as well as an avid Husker fan and season-ticket holder since 1962. Harold passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones, on March 16, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen; parents; sister, Barbara Hamann; and grandson, Harold Felton. He is survived by his children, Pamela (Bruce) Felton, David (Laureen) Tomich, Diane (Richard) Tellgren, Patrick (Marti) Tomich,
and Madeline (Samuel) Perkins; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family is holding a private service and plans for a celebration of life gathering at a later date to be determined.
