Bert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He grew strong in his faith in the Lord and joyfully worked to serve his church. Bert proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1960-1964. He loved to travel, read, play games, golf, watch wrestling, and spend as much time with his family as he could.

Bert was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Mary Tamer, his brothers Joseph, Anthony, and James, and sisters Kathy Wilde, and Beatrice McCarter.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 59 years Holly Forrest-Tamer, daughters Laura Cleaveland (husband Tracy), Deborah Tamer, and Michelle Stuetelberg (husband Jay), and son Anthony Tamer (wife Yolanda), and sister, Kris Tamer-Parks. Bert had 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren whom he adored and took great delight in.

Memorial Service: Friday, Oct. 23, 2020 at 11:00am at Creekside Church, 3320 Harry Langdon Blvd., Council Bluffs, Iowa
